Atlanta steps it up

Needless to say, their games against the Brewers were especially exciting for me since I'm a Braves fan living in Brewer land. For everyone being so excited to see the debut of Grienke, he just wasn't enough. The Braves finally moved above .500 and is now going 17-15. I think these games against the Brewers were much needed confident boosters. Last season, they turned their game around in May. This year, could it happen again? I think so.

First of all, Tommy Hanson played like a champ in the first game of the double header yesterday against the Brewers for his third straight win. Over the first six innings the Brewers only got three hits off of him. In the second game, the amazing Tim Hudson was close to perfection when he pitched an all too impressive one-hitter. All eyes were supposed to be on Zack Grienke's debut - but the spot light was on the Atlanta pitcher Tim Hudson.

He, along with Martin Prado, and Nate McClouth, were all-stars yesterday. Way to make me proud, Atlanta! (The final scores were Atlanta with 8 both games, the Brewers with 3 the first game an 0 the second, giving the Braves a fantastic shut out.)

Let's not forget their first game in the series against the Brewers, either, where they defeated them 6-2. Jair Jurrjens, who received a standing ovation,  had a big night as did the offensive hero, Alex Gonzalez when he made a hit allowing Jones, Uggla, and Freeman to all score.
