Long time, no blog

Well, folks, the semester is over. And it feels great. I know for a fact my grades won't be too hot, but I guess there's nothing I can do now. All college kids have one bad semester, right? At least I'll have passed all my classes - except for math, but who knows, maybe I'll get a surprise and have a D. Not holding my breath. I feel bad for slacking all semester now... next semester I'll be sure to study hard. Especially considering I'll be transferring schools soon! It's nice outside. I'm going to crack open a new book and read.

No thanks, no mind altering subsatnces for me

The girl who signed up for that dating site texted me saying she was talking to a really nice guy. She told me his name. And my jaw literally dropped. What are the chances? He has a common name, only it's spelt different than usual. I asked where he's from. It has to be him, I thought to myself. Sure enough, she was talking to my first "boyfriend" from way back freshman year of high school. Note - I use the term boyfriend lightly. He was psycho. At one point, he held my teddy bear up to a knife. He was very pressuring when it came to physical things. Also, I remember him telling me about how he was carving my name into his arm. I remember hearing about how he was in prison a year or so ago from a mutual acquaintance. I decided to a background check. (Thank you, Wisconsin, for making this so easy to see someone's criminal record.) In 2008 he got in trouble for drug paraphernalia and THC. Then, he got in trouble for manufacturing/delivering cocaine. He went to prison for a year, probation for four. In 2009, after he was out, he got in trouble yet again for THC.

Risks and chances

Last night I went on yet another date. It's kind of a funny story, how we met. My friend, who shall remain anonymous, had a so-called "brilliant" idea. Dating sites. Enough said. Anyways. I wasn't extremely happy about the whole ordeal, and I will be deleting that account she generously set up for me. Somehow I had a good dozen or more messages. In one day. Curiosity got the best of me and I decided to check them out for a few laughs. One was surprisingly attractive. He simply messaged me something along the lines of, "Hi. How are you?" I thought, "what the heck" and gave him my e-mail address.

Another semester gone

So, this is me procrastinating. I'm sitting at my favorite coffee shop, drinking a hot chocolate, eating a Susie's Hint O Mint nature bar, while my biology book lays open and out in front of me, staring up at me as if it's waiting for me to turn the page. Like that will ever happen. I just had a good work out at the gym - a three mile walk/run. It was relaxing, refreshing, and much needed. I should be working on my biology lab final as I type this, but know what? It's only college. So who cares? (Kidding, of course I care. I'll do it tomorrow.) I can't believe the semester is just days from being over! Next week I have finals and then this girl is home free! Minus the heavy work hours that are bound to come flying my way. Anyways, while the semester ending is very exciting, it's also slightly scary. Why? Well, because the opportunities are endless and the decisions I'm going to face soon are intimidating.
